Nettie Kelly, a science teacher here at Bay, is introducing one of her passions during Intersession 2011—sailing on tall ships. For 5 days, students will live on a boat, work together, eat together, build relationships and trust, and learn to become a team.
Before becoming a teacher, Nettie worked in the field of marine research in Alaska for five years and was a founding member of The Tall Ship Education Academy, creating opportunities for girls to explore and find their inner strength and confidence while being the crew of a tall ship.
